Our Philosophy is to provide each child with a loving, non-competitive environment in which learning and exploring are encouraged.
Our program is based on sensori-motor activities designed to enhance each child's readiness for kindergarten. Activities include:
Readiness: Activities to develop small muscle skills and coordination through games, puzzles, manipulative toys, crayons, pencils, and scissors.
Music: Activities focus on rhythms, listening, responding to mood, and singing.
Art: Visual and tactile activities which provide opportunities to explore color, style, texture, and creativity.
Physical Fitness: Activities which stress large muscle development through games, exercise and play.
Listening: Activities aimed at developing discriminatory skill through stories, fingerplay, and rhymes.
Free Play: Combines all sensori-motor areas through dramatization, role-playing, and socialization, building self-convidence and appreciation for others.
Spiritual Values: Bible stories, Christian songs and prayers are an integral part of our program. The true meaning of Christmas, Easter, and Creation are taught.
Diagnostic speech and hearing screening and therapy is provided by the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit.
